Technical Lectures

Technical LecturesTechnical lectures on various subjects ranging from technical to non-technical are delivered by the faculties of the college and identified eminent faculties of city of Nagpur. Experienced faculty is also invited from other parts of the country for sharing their experiences with the trainee officers of the college.

Simulation Exercise

Simulation ExerciseThere are subjects which involve development of skills of the trainee officers so as to enable them to be prepared to face real time situations. To create real life scenarios the college uses Simulation Software on structural, hazardous material and transport incidents complete with audio-visual effects.

Field Exercise

Field ExerciseThe college organizes training programmes primarily aimed at development of skills of the participants with regards to conduct of search and rescue operations, fire fighting drills, safety from explosives, flood rescue operations, administring first aid and transport of the injured, disaster communication, etc. The participants are engaged in the above type of activities more frequently so that higher confidence levels and the performance standards can be achieved.

Performance Evaluation Exercise

Performance Evaluation ExerciseIn most of the training programmes field training is indulged in for almost more than half the duration of the programme. After having developed a level of standard for skills in conducting various operations the participants are put through group exercises based on real time problem scenarios with live casualties and simulated injuries. This methodology builds the capacity of the trainee officers to cope with various level of stresses at an incident site.

Film Shows

Film ShowsThe college holds a number of training video films and compact discs covering various subjects. The relevance of every subject is more aptly produced by giving visual impact so that the participants are made well versed with the difficulties faced by responders during a disaster.

Industrial Visits

Industrial VisitsAn endeavour is made to incorporate interesting phases in each training programme of the college which includes site visits to various industries around Nagpur. Site visits for study of fire fighting installations, types of explosives, emergency preparedness, communication drills etc. along with demonstrations is also undertaken very frequently.
